Two amazing yet different exfoliants!

Exfol L is a chemical exfoliant containing Lactic Acid, which causes a chemical reaction to break down the “glue” that adheres dead skin cells to the skin’s surface.

We recommend using it at night time only after cleansing, before other serums & your moisturiser. It has a serum-like consistency and feel.

Fruit Enzyme Mask is an enzymatic exfoliant which works to specifically break down the protein called 'keratin' found in dead skin cells.

As a result, these lifeless cells slough off, smoothing and softening the outer layer of the skin.

It can be used AM or PM and is to be applied on clean, dry skin. It has a gel-like consistency and feel and can be used in multiple ways:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1. Massage in and wash off after pilling occurs (when the dead skin pills)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

2. Leave on for 5-15 minutes without massaging. We recommend this for sensitive skin types⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

3. Massage until pilling occurs and leave on for 5-15 minutes for the ultimate exfoliation

You may hear me from time to time mention the word

You may hear me from time to time mention the word 'Actives' or 'Active Ingredients'. Active ingredients, means the key ingredients in a product that is designed to create a change within the skin.

Not all products are created equal or created to correct much, or anything at all.

Here is a bit of an insight...........
❗Skincare available for purchase from a supermarket cannot exceed 2% activity

❗Skincare available from a pharmacy, duty free, department store or heath stores are usually around 8 - 10% but cannot exceed 10% activity

❗Beauty Therapists can prescribe skincare up to, but not exceed 70% activity.

As a Beauty Therapist we say prescribe because that is exactly what we are doing, prescribing skincare based on what your skin is presenting with, the history and your current concerns.

❗ Doctors are the only people who can prescribe anything over 70% which is usually your Isotretinoin (accutane, roaccutane, oral vitamin A) Doxycycline (Amoxicillian) aka an antibiotic.

Just to put the above into perspective:
🏋️ If you went to the gym for 2 days out of 100, would you see results or get fit? NO!
🏋️ If you went to the gym for 8 to 10 days out of 100, would you see results or get fit? NOPE!
🏋️ If you went to the gym for 70 days out of 100, would you see results or get fit? YES!!

What do you do once you achieve your desired results? you don't stop, you maintain your results don't you?!
I guess you can think of us as a personal trainer for your skin and just like the gym, there is no quick fix, it takes time and commitment!

My passion is Skin and helping you achieve the results you want. We are trained professionals who have been taught to read the skin and help you on your journey to love the skin your in!

The whole point of this post is to educate you, the consumer. What is the point of spending money on makeup that is going to just cover up, hide and sit on the skin? Wouldn't you rather invest in good skincare that is designed to correct & treat your concerns and feed your skin at a cellular level? I know I would....
